Papaya (Paw Paw)

Isn't papaya a weird and wonderful fruit?! And yes these grow here. Apparently the seeds are edible and have a flavor (not surprisingly) similar to black pepper. I've really taken to this fruit and enjoy it with a bowl of plain yogurt and some of Jim's granola. (Jim's not a fan though and he prefers guavas. Which I do not like. Entry coming soon. Mom H, you'll be glad to know that papaya and guava are both awarded "gold medals" in the Nutrition Action fruit rankings.)
